Bright Start Child Care - 2500

60+ years of experience

Founders of Bright Start Child Care, sisters Mary Anne Mendenhall, Sandra Craven, and Shirley Instasi, have over 60 years of combined experience in child care. All three founders are certified in Early Childhood Education/Child Development, and continue to participate in ongoing professional development programs to enhance their skills.

Mary Anne devoted her entire career to childhood development, first as a teacher in the Boston Public School system and later as both an in-home and center-based provider.

Sandra has dedicated more than 20 years to the enrichment of children in a child care setting. Teaching in both in-home and center environments, her primary focus is on nurturing infants in a loving and creative setting.

Shirley brings with her a thorough understanding of business management coupled with her child care experience. A Foxborough native, Shirley attended nursery school in the very building Bright Start occupies.

The three women who own Bright Start also worked as teachers in the center, and he faculty continues to adhere to the highest standards in child care.

Enrollment

Each family provides us with the following when enrolling children into our care:

Up-to-date immunizations

To protect your child from things like the measles or the mumps.

Those who are allowed to pick your child up from school or care

We ask to have copies of identification (like a drivers license) for the other people you've said can pick up your child (so that we know it's the right person).

Medical records and release forms

This gives us permission to make medical decisions for your child in case there's an emergency and you can't be reached. (You will also need to make sure your child gets a check-up from a doctor before going into child care.)

Emergency contacts

Make sure to give more than one person as an emergency contact in case they can't reach you.

Information on any allergies and special health conditions
